Global digital asset infrastructure provider joins South Africa's fintech industry body to support collaboration, regulatory engagement and the growth of the country's digital finance ecosystem.
Johannesburg, South Africa – 6 July 2026
Bitpanda Enterprise, the leading infrastructure provider for digital assets, has joined the Fintech Association of South Africa (FINASA), reinforcing its engagement with one of Africa’s most active fintech markets.
The partnership comes as South Africa continues to develop its digital finance framework, with growing focus on crypto asset regulation, tokenisation, cross-border payments and institutional digital asset infrastructure.
Bitpanda is a leading European investment and trading platform. Through Bitpanda Enterprise, the company offers institutional-grade technology solutions that enable banks, neo-brokers, fintechs and financial institutions to integrate digital assets, securities and precious metals into their platforms.
Dishen Govender, Head of Africa at Bitpanda Enterprise, said, “South Africa combines a sophisticated financial sector with active regulatory engagement, making it one of the most relevant digital asset markets on the continent. Joining FINASA allows us to work more closely with local institutions and industry participants as the market evolves.”
Through its FINASA membership, Bitpanda Enterprise will take part in industry discussions covering digital asset infrastructure, B2B fintech innovation, payments modernisation, tokenisation and regulatory development in South Africa.
“As South Africa’s fintech ecosystem continues to mature, we are seeing increasing interest from international companies looking to participate in the market in a meaningful and collaborative way,” said Danielle Lawrence, COO of FINASA. “Bitpanda Enterprise brings valuable global experience across digital assets, regulated investment infrastructure, and financial innovation. We are excited to welcome them into the FINASA ecosystem and look forward to the role they can play in broader industry conversations around the future of digital finance in South Africa and across Africa.”
